A Getaway Weekend in the Bay

Jasmin and I took a trip to San Francisco back in September but I thought I would talk about it as my first blog post. So yes, I am starting a blog because I want to start documenting my thoughts, experiences, and opinions when it comes to fashion, food, and my travels.

This was Jasmin’s second time going to the Bay, but was the first time that she got to do some actual sightseeing. So I wanted to make sure that she got to do all of the cliche touristy activities. I took her to see the Golden Gate Bridge and we got a really good view. The clouds that day was perfect for sightseeing but also for taking pictures, which we definitely took advantage of. Jasmin also got to experience Ghirardelli Square for the first time. We actually played ping pong and of course we also got some hot fudge sundaes. Walking along Fisherman's Wharf was also a highlight because we ended up eating at Boudin’s. When we ate at Boudin’s we got some oysters because Jasmin and I are huge fiends for oysters. Overall though we got a lot done and saw a lot for only being there for 2.5 days.

Whenever I go on a trip I also try my best to plan out some good outfits. I feel like when I go to a new place/city I want to carry myself well, so let’s breakdown some of the outfits that I wore. The first outfit that I wore is the one you have seen in the previous photos so far. I am a huge fan of neutral tones, so all of my outfits revolve around that color palette. So this outfit consists of a plain white hoodie and my grey wool jacket from Cos. I had to make sure that I had a lot of layers because it was super windy and cold throughout our whole trip. The pants were just some black dress pants from LuLuLemon, while the shoes are a pair of white shoes also from Cos. If you couldn’t tell, one of my favorite places to shop for contemporary clothing pieces is Cos. So here is one of my favorite photos in that outfit from the trip.

This next outfit that I am going to show you is another contemporary outfit that I put together. I am really proud of this outfit because usually don’t layer multiple color tones, but I felt like it worked for this outfit. I wore a White Uniqlo Airism t-shirt which I tucked into a pair of tan LuLuLemon dress pants. I ended up cuffing my pants to show my grey dress socks which I wore with a pair of Olivier Cabell Italian leather shoes. Lastly, as an accent piece I draped a Cos black crewneck sweater over my shoulders. Let me know what you think!

For the last outfit that I want to showcase for you, I went for a more streetwear mixed with a contemporary vibe. I wore another white Uniqlo Airism shirt and for the bottoms I wore a pair of cropped/frayed tan Dickies pants. I wore white socks with a pair of Off-White Green Dunks which I never wore before so I was scared that they would get stepped on. And lastly, for the statement piece I wore a VandythePink Varsity Jacket. I am a huge fan of VandythePink, especially their varsity jackets because they are such high quality and the designs are always amazing. I will post more outfits with other varsity jackets in the future. But anyways, the following picture was taken at the Apple visitor center in Cupertino and it was beautiful.

Anyways, it was an amazing trip overall and I can't wait to travel more with Jasmin in the future. I had a blast in the Bay from the food, to shopping, to planning outfits, to just exploring the city. Thank you for reading my first blog post as I can’t wait for what the future can hold. I will keep you updated and I look forward to talking to you again soon!
